The Romans - 30:40
Allah created you, then He gave you sustenance, then He kills you, then He raises you up. Which of your partners can do any of these things? To Him belongs the praise. He is far greater than what they associate partners with.
Allah kills us every day in sleep and resurrects us every day as a proof that we shall be resurrected in the Hereafter:
The Cattle/6:60
It is He who kills you by night and knows what you do by day, and resurrects you by day so that the term of life may expire. Then to Him is your return, and He will inform you of what you used to do.
وَهُوَ الَّذ۪ي يَتَوَفّٰيكُمْ بِالَّيْلِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا جَرَحْتُمْ بِالنَّهَارِ ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُـكُمْ ف۪يهِ لِيُقْضٰٓى اَجَلٌ مُسَمًّىۚ ثُمَّ اِلَيْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ۟
The Companies/39:42
Allah takes the soul (consciousness) at the moment of death, and those who do not die in sleep... He keeps those about whom He has decreed death, and sends the others away until a certain term. In this are lessons and signs for a people who reflect.
اَللّٰهُ يَتَوَفَّى الْاَنْفُسَ ح۪ينَ مَوْتِهَا وَالَّت۪ي لَمْ تَمُتْ ف۪ي مَنَامِهَاۚ فَيُمْسِكُ الَّت۪ي قَضٰى عَلَيْهَا الْمَوْتَ وَيُرْسِلُ الْاُخْرٰٓى اِلٰٓى اَجَلٍ مُسَمًّىۜ اِنَّ ف۪ي ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
The Criterion/25:47
And He it is Who has made the night a covering for you, and sleep a rest, and the day a time of resurrection.
وَهُوَ الَّذ۪ي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الَّيْلَ لِبَاساً وَالنَّوْمَ سُبَاتاً وَجَعَلَ النَّهَارَ نُشُوراً
