To Thamud who carved the rocks of the valley?

"And We sent to the people of Thamud their brother Salih: "O My people, worship Allah. You have no god besides Him. A clear proof has come to you from your Lord, and this camel of Allah will be a sign for you. Let him graze on Allah´s land. Do not harm him, lest a painful torment seizes you."
وَاِلٰى ثَمُودَ اَخَاهُمْ صَـالِـحاًۢ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ اِلٰهٍ غَيْرُهُۜ قَدْ جَٓاءَتْكُمْ بَيِّنَةٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْۜ هٰذِه۪ نَاقَةُ اللّٰهِ لَكُمْ اٰيَةً فَذَرُوهَا تَأْكُلْ ف۪ٓي اَرْضِ اللّٰهِ وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُٓوءٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابٌ اَل۪يمٌ
The Heights/7:74
Remember that He made you heirs after the people of ´Ad. He established you in the earth. You build mansions on its plains and carve houses on its mountains. Remember the Blessings of Allah and do not create disorder in the earth.
وَاذْكُرُٓوا اِذْ جَعَلَكُمْ خُلَـفَٓاءَ مِنْ بَعْدِ عَادٍ وَبَوَّاَكُمْ فِي الْاَرْضِ تَتَّخِذُونَ مِنْ سُهُولِهَا قُصُوراً وَتَنْحِتُونَ الْجِبَالَ بُيُوتاًۚ فَاذْكُـرُٓوا اٰلَٓاءَ اللّٰهِ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا فِي الْاَرْضِ مُفْسِد۪ينَ
The Poets/26:142
"Their brother Salih said to them, "Will you not be righteous?"
اِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ اَخُوهُمْ صَالِحٌ اَلَا تَتَّقُونَۚ
The Poets/26:145
And I do not ask you for a wage in return for that. Only the Lord of the Universes pays my wage.
وَمَٓا اَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ اَجْرٍۚ اِنْ اَجْرِيَ اِلَّا عَلٰى رَبِّ الْعَالَم۪ينَۜ
The Poets/26:148
And you are in crops and date-palms with ripe fruit.
وَزُرُوعٍ وَنَخْلٍ طَلْعُهَا هَض۪يمٌۚ
The Poets/26:149
And from the mountains you hew luxurious mansions.
وَتَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوتاً فَارِه۪ينَۚ
The Poets/26:151
Do not follow the command of the transgressors.
وَلَا تُط۪يعُٓوا اَمْرَ الْمُسْرِف۪ينَۙ
The Poets/26:152
They do evil in the earth, not good.
اَلَّذ۪ينَ يُفْسِدُونَ فِي الْاَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ
The Poets/26:154
You are a human being like us. Bring us a miracle if you are truthful.
مَٓا اَنْتَ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُنَاۚ فَأْتِ بِاٰيَةٍ اِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِق۪ينَ
The Poets/26:155
"He said, "Here is that camel. It has a certain time when it will drink water. And you have a certain day when you will drink water."
قَالَ هٰذِه۪ نَاقَةٌ لَهَا شِرْبٌ وَلَكُمْ شِرْبُ يَوْمٍ مَعْلُومٍۚ
The Poets/26:156
Do not do him any evil. Otherwise you will be punished with the punishment of a great Day.
وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُٓوءٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَظ۪يمٍ
The Poets/26:157
Finally they slaughtered him, but they regretted.
فَعَقَرُوهَا فَاَصْبَحُوا نَادِم۪ينَۙ
The Poets/26:158
"And the punishment seized them. There is a lesson in this, but the majority do not believe."
فَاَخَذَهُمُ الْعَذَابُۜ اِنَّ ف۪ي ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةًۜ وَمَا كَانَ اَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِن۪ينَ
The Poets/26:159
Surely your Lord is the Exalted, the Most Merciful.
وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَز۪يزُ الرَّح۪يمُ۟

وَثَمُودَ الَّذ۪ينَ جَابُوا الصَّخْرَ بِالْوَادِۙۖ
