18:61 When they reached the confluence of the two seas, they forgot their fish. He slyly slipped away and took the way to the sea.
18:62 "When they crossed it, he said to his young companion, "Bring our food. We are really tired from this journey."
18:63 "He said: "See, when we reached that rock, I forgot the fish. The devil made me forget it and so it wandered away in the sea. How interesting!"
18:64 "(Moses) said: "That was the place we were looking for", so they turned back on their trail."
18:65 They found a servant of our servants to whom We had given mercy from Our Presence and taught him of Our knowledge.
18:66 "When Moses said to him, "May I follow you so that you may teach me the enlightening principles of what you have been taught?"
18:69 "He said: "If Allah wills, you will find me patient, and I will not oppose you in anything."
18:70 "He said: "If you are to follow me, do not ask me about anything unless I tell you about it."
18:71 "So they walked. When they finally boarded the ship, he made a hole in it. "Did you make a hole in the ship to drown your people? You have indeed done a great deed,"he said."
18:72 "Didn´t I tell you that you couldn´t stand me?"he replied."
18:73 "He said, "Do not condemn me for what I have forgotten, and do not cause me any difficulty in this matter."
18:74 "So they walked on. When they came to a young man, he killed him immediately. He said, "Why did you kill an innocent man who had never killed anyone? You have done a very bad deed."
18:75 "Didn´t I tell you that you couldn´t stand me?"he repeated."
18:76 If I ask you anything else, then do not be my friend anymore. You have heard enough apologies from me.
18:77 "So they walked on. Finally they came to a village and asked its people for food. But they refused to receive them as guests. Then they found a wall there that wanted to fall down, and he immediately straightened it. He said: "If you had wished, you could have received a wage for that work."
18:78 "He said: "This is the end of my association with you. And I will make known to you the explanation of that which you cannot bear."
18:79 The ship belonged to the poor (fishermen) who worked in the sea. I wanted to make the ship imperfect because they were pursued by a king who seized all the ships by force.
18:80 As for the child, his parents were two believers. We feared that he would burden them with excesses and ingratitude.
