بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
1
36:1 Y. S.
يٰسٓۜ
4
36:2 By the Qur´an of wisdom.
وَالْقُرْاٰنِ الْحَك۪يمِۙ
3
36:3 Surely you are one of the messengers.
اِنَّكَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَل۪ينَۙ
4
36:4 On a straight path.
عَلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَق۪يمٍۜ
6
36:5 This is a revelation sent down by the Most High and Most Merciful.
تَنْز۪يلَ الْعَز۪يزِ الرَّح۪يمِۙ

36:6 That you may warn a people who have remained totally ignorant because their forefathers were not warned.
لِتُنْذِرَ قَوْماً مَٓا اُنْذِرَ اٰبَٓاؤُ۬هُمْ فَهُمْ غَافِلُونَ

36:7 The promise has come true that many will not believe.
لَقَدْ حَقَّ الْقَوْلُ عَلٰٓى اَكْثَرِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

36:8 We put fetters on their necks up to their chins, so their heads are raised up.
اِنَّا جَعَلْنَا ف۪ٓي اَعْنَاقِهِمْ اَغْلَالاً فَهِيَ اِلَى الْاَذْقَانِ فَهُمْ مُقْمَحُونَ

36:9 We have veiled them with a barrier in front of them and a barrier behind them, so that they cannot see.
وَجَعَلْنَا مِنْ بَيْنِ اَيْد۪يهِمْ سَداًّ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ سَداًّ فَاَغْشَيْنَاهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُبْصِرُونَ

36:10 Whether you warn them or not, it is the same for them; they do not believe.
وَسَوَٓاءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَاَنْذَرْتَهُمْ اَمْ لَمْ تُنْذِرْهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

36:11 You can only warn one who follows the Message and respects the Most Merciful when alone. Give him glad tidings of forgiveness and an abundant reward.
اِنَّمَا تُنْذِرُ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ الذِّكْرَ وَخَشِيَ الرَّحْمٰنَ بِالْغَيْبِۚ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِمَغْفِرَةٍ وَاَجْرٍ كَر۪يمٍ

36:12 It is We who raise the dead, and We write down their deeds and their results (after their death). We have enumerated everything in a clear Book.
اِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْـيِ الْمَوْتٰى وَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُوا وَاٰثَارَهُمْۜ وَكُلَّ شَيْءٍ اَحْصَيْنَاهُ ف۪ٓي اِمَامٍ مُب۪ينٍ۟

36:13 Give them the example of the attitude of the people of a city towards the messengers who came to them.
وَاضْرِبْ لَهُمْ مَثَلاً اَصْحَابَ الْقَرْيَةِۢ اِذْ جَٓاءَهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَۚ

36:14 "We sent to them two messengers, both of whom they denied. So We supported them with a third. They said: "We are the messengers sent to you"."
اِذْ اَرْسَلْـنَٓا اِلَيْهِمُ اثْنَيْنِ فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَعَزَّزْنَا بِثَالِثٍ فَقَالُٓوا اِنَّٓا اِلَيْكُمْ مُرْسَلُونَ

36:15 "They said, "You are nothing but men like us. And the Most Merciful has not sent down anything. You are lying."
قَالُوا مَٓا اَنْتُمْ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُنَاۙ وَمَٓا اَنْزَلَ الرَّحْمٰنُ مِنْ شَيْءٍۙ اِنْ اَنْتُمْ اِلَّا تَكْذِبُونَ

36:16 "They said, "Our Lord knows that we have been sent to you."
قَالُوا رَبُّنَا يَعْلَمُ اِنَّٓا اِلَيْكُمْ لَمُرْسَلُونَ

36:17 Our duty is only to announce clearly.
وَمَا عَلَيْنَٓا اِلَّا الْبَلَاغُ الْمُب۪ينُ

36:18 "They said, "We have been jinxed because of you. If you do not cease, we will stone you and a painful punishment will touch you from us."
قَالُٓوا اِنَّا تَطَيَّرْنَا بِكُمْۚ لَئِنْ لَمْ تَنْتَهُوا لَنَرْجُمَنَّكُمْ وَلَيَمَسَّنَّكُمْ مِنَّا عَذَابٌ اَل۪يمٌ

36:19 "They said, "It is because of you that you are jinxed. Is it because you have been warned? You are indeed a transgressing people."
قَالُوا طَٓائِرُكُمْ مَعَكُمْۜ اَئِنْ ذُكِّرْتُمْۜ بَلْ اَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ مُسْرِفُونَ

36:20 "A man ran from the farthest side of the city and said, "O my people, follow the messengers."
وَجَٓاءَ مِنْ اَقْصَا الْمَد۪ينَةِ رَجُلٌ يَسْعٰى قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اتَّبِعُوا الْمُرْسَل۪ينَۙ
