بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
6
43:41 We will punish them, even if We take you away.
فَاِمَّا نَذْهَبَنَّ بِكَ فَاِنَّا مِنْهُمْ مُنْتَقِمُونَۙ
4
43:42 Or We will show you what We have promised them; We have power over them.
اَوْ نُرِيَنَّكَ الَّذ۪ي وَعَدْنَاهُمْ فَاِنَّا عَلَيْهِمْ مُقْتَدِرُونَ
5
43:43 Hold fast to what has been revealed to you, for you are on the right path.
فَاسْتَمْسِكْ بِالَّـذ۪ٓي اُو۫حِيَ اِلَيْكَۚ اِنَّكَ عَلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَق۪يمٍ

43:44 This is a message to you and your people, and from it you will be questioned.
وَاِنَّهُ لَذِكْرٌ لَكَ وَلِقَوْمِكَۚ وَسَوْفَ تُسْـَٔلُونَ
4
43:45 "Search the messengers We sent before you: "Have we accepted gods to serve besides the Most Merciful?"
وَسْـَٔلْ مَنْ اَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ مِنْ رُسُلِنَاۗ اَجَعَلْنَا مِنْ دُونِ الرَّحْمٰنِ اٰلِهَةً يُعْبَدُونَ۟

43:46 "For example, We sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his men and he said, "I am the messenger of the Lord of the Universes."
وَلَقَدْ اَرْسَلْنَا مُوسٰى بِاٰيَاتِنَٓا اِلٰى فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَا۬ئِه۪ فَقَالَ اِنّ۪ي رَسُولُ رَبِّ الْعَالَم۪ينَ

43:47 When he brought Our miracles to them, they laughed at them.
فَلَمَّا جَٓاءَهُمْ بِاٰيَاتِنَٓا اِذَا هُمْ مِنْهَا يَضْحَكُونَ
5
43:48 We showed them miracles greater than one and We brought upon them various calamities lest they might turn back.
وَمَا نُر۪يهِمْ مِنْ اٰيَةٍ اِلَّا هِيَ اَكْبَرُ مِنْ اُخْتِهَاۘ وَاَخَذْنَاهُمْ بِالْعَذَابِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ

43:49 "O sorcerer, pray to your Lord for us. For you are nearer to Him; we shall come to the way after this"."
وَقَالُوا يَٓا اَيُّهَ السَّاحِرُ ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ بِمَا عَهِدَ عِنْدَكَ اِنَّـنَا لَمُهْتَدُونَ

43:50 But when We removed the calamity from them, they immediately turned back from their words.
فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابَ اِذَا هُمْ يَنْكُثُونَ

43:51 "Pharaoh said to his people: "O my people, does not the government of Egypt and the rivers flowing under me belong to me? Do you not see?"
وَنَادٰى فِرْعَوْنُ ف۪ي قَوْمِه۪ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اَلَيْسَ ل۪ي مُلْكُ مِصْرَ وَهٰذِهِ الْاَنْهَارُ تَجْر۪ي مِنْ تَحْت۪يۚ اَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَۜ

43:52 Or am I not superior to this man who is vile and unable to speak?
اَمْ اَنَا۬ خَيْرٌ مِنْ هٰذَا الَّذ۪ي هُوَ مَه۪ينٌ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُب۪ينُ

43:53 Why is he not given a treasure of gold, or why do not angels come to work with him?
فَلَوْلَٓا اُلْقِيَ عَلَيْهِ اَسْوِرَةٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ اَوْ جَٓاءَ مَعَهُ الْمَلٰٓئِكَةُ مُقْتَرِن۪ينَ

43:54 So he misled his people and they followed him. They were a vulgar people.
فَاسْتَخَفَّ قَوْمَهُ فَاَطَاعُوهُۜ اِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْماً فَاسِق۪ينَ

43:55 When they persisted in fighting Us, We took vengeance on them and drowned them all.
فَلَمَّٓا اٰسَفُونَا انْتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ فَاَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ اَجْمَع۪ينَۙ

43:56 We made them a lesson and an example for those who would come after.
فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ سَلَفاً وَمَثَلاً لِلْاٰخِر۪ينَ۟

43:57 When the son of Mary was shown as an example, your people immediately rejected.
وَلَمَّا ضُرِبَ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ مَثَلاً اِذَا قَوْمُكَ مِنْهُ يَصِدُّونَ

43:58 "They said: "Are our gods better or is he?"They said this only to argue with you. They are indeed a quarrelsome people."
وَقَالُٓوا ءَاٰلِهَتُنَا خَيْرٌ اَمْ هُوَۜ مَا ضَرَبُوهُ لَكَ اِلَّا جَدَلاًۜ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ خَصِمُونَ

43:59 He was nothing but a servant to whom We showed favor. We made him an example for the Children of Israel.
اِنْ هُوَ اِلَّا عَبْدٌ اَنْعَمْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَجَعَلْنَاهُ مَثَلاً لِبَن۪ٓي اِسْرَٓائ۪ـلَۜ

43:60 Had We willed, We could have turned you into angels colonizing the earth.
وَلَوْ نَشَٓاءُ لَجَعَلْنَا مِنْكُمْ مَلٰٓئِكَةً فِي الْاَرْضِ يَخْلُفُونَ
