بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
5
72:1 "Say, "It has been revealed to me that a group of the jinn listened and said:""We have heard an interesting Qur´an."
قُلْ اُو۫حِيَ اِلَيَّ اَنَّهُ اسْتَمَعَ نَفَرٌ مِنَ الْجِنِّ فَقَالُٓوا اِنَّا سَمِعْنَا قُرْاٰناً عَجَباًۙ

72:2 It guides to the truth, and we have believed in it; henceforth we will not associate anyone with our Lord.
يَهْد۪ٓي اِلَى الرُّشْدِ فَاٰمَنَّا بِه۪ۜ وَلَنْ نُشْرِكَ بِرَبِّنَٓا اَحَداًۙ

72:3 Our Lord is the Most High. He has not taken a wife or a child.
وَاَنَّهُ تَعَالٰى جَدُّ رَبِّنَا مَا اتَّخَذَ صَاحِبَةً وَلَا وَلَداًۙ

72:4 It was that foolish one of ours who spoke nonsense about Allah.
وَاَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ سَف۪يهُنَا عَلَى اللّٰهِ شَطَطاًۙ

72:5 We thought that mankind and jinn could not invent a lie against Allah.
وَاَنَّا ظَنَنَّٓا اَنْ لَنْ تَقُولَ الْاِنْسُ وَالْجِنُّ عَلَى اللّٰهِ كَذِباًۙ

72:6 But some men used to take refuge with some jinn, and that increased their transgression.
وَاَنَّهُ كَانَ رِجَالٌ مِنَ الْاِنْسِ يَعُوذُونَ بِرِجَالٍ مِنَ الْجِنِّ فَزَادُوهُمْ رَهَقاًۙ

72:7 They thought that Allah would not send anyone, just as you think.
وَاَنَّهُمْ ظَنُّوا كَمَا ظَنَنْتُمْ اَنْ لَنْ يَبْعَثَ اللّٰهُ اَحَداًۙ

72:8 We touched the heaven and found it guarded by strong guards and balls of fire.
وَاَنَّا لَمَسْنَا السَّمَٓاءَ فَوَجَدْنَاهَا مُلِئَتْ حَرَساً شَد۪يداً وَشُهُباًۙ

72:9 We used to sit there as spies, but now whoever wants to listen will find a ball of fire watching him.
وَاَنَّا كُنَّا نَقْعُدُ مِنْهَا مَقَاعِدَ لِلسَّمْعِۜ فَمَنْ يَسْتَمِعِ الْاٰنَ يَجِدْ لَهُ شِهَاباً رَصَداًۙ

72:10 We do not know whether evil is planned for those on the earth or whether their Lord has willed good for them.
وَاَنَّا لَا نَدْر۪ٓي اَشَرٌّ اُر۪يدَ بِمَنْ فِي الْاَرْضِ اَمْ اَرَادَ بِهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ رَشَداًۙ

72:11 There are among us the righteous and the lowly; we are divided into various sects (paths).
وَاَنَّا مِنَّا الصَّالِحُونَ وَمِنَّا دُونَ ذٰلِكَۜ كُنَّا طَرَٓائِقَ قِدَداًۙ

72:12 We have realized that we cannot overpower Allah in the earth, nor can we elude Him by flight.
وَاَنَّا ظَنَنَّٓا اَنْ لَنْ نُعْجِزَ اللّٰهَ فِي الْاَرْضِ وَلَنْ نُعْجِزَهُ هَرَباًۙ
10
72:13 As soon as we heard the guiding (Qur´an), we believed in it, and he who believes in his Lord shall not be wronged or troubled.
وَاَنَّا لَمَّا سَمِعْنَا الْهُدٰٓى اٰمَنَّا بِه۪ۜ فَمَنْ يُؤْمِنْ بِرَبِّه۪ فَلَا يَخَافُ بَخْساً وَلَا رَهَقاًۙ

72:14 "Among us are the Muslims and the compromisers."Whoever submits, it is they who seek the truth."
وَاَنَّا مِنَّا الْمُسْلِمُونَ وَمِنَّا الْقَاسِطُونَۜ فَمَنْ اَسْلَمَ فَاُو۬لٰٓئِكَ تَحَرَّوْا رَشَداً

72:15 As for the compromisers, they will be firewood for Hell.
وَاَمَّا الْقَاسِطُونَ فَكَانُوا لِجَهَنَّمَ حَطَباًۙ

72:16 Had they followed the right path, We would have given them abundant water.
وَاَنْ لَوِ اسْتَقَامُوا عَلَى الطَّر۪يقَةِ لَاَسْقَيْنَاهُمْ مَٓاءً غَدَقاًۙ
7
72:17 That We may test them with it. And whoever turns away from the Message of his Lord, We will drive him to a severe and harsh punishment.
لِنَفْتِنَهُمْ ف۪يهِۚ وَمَنْ يُعْرِضْ عَنْ ذِكْرِ رَبِّه۪ يَسْلُكْهُ عَذَاباً صَعَداًۙ

72:18 The masjids belong to Allah alone, so do not call upon anyone besides Allah.
وَاَنَّ الْمَسَاجِدَ لِلّٰهِ فَلَا تَدْعُوا مَعَ اللّٰهِ اَحَداًۙ

72:19 When the servant of Allah arose and called to Him alone, they were almost united against him.
وَاَنَّهُ لَمَّا قَامَ عَبْدُ اللّٰهِ يَدْعُوهُ كَادُوا يَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِ لِبَداًۜ۟

72:20 "Say, "I call only to my Lord, and to Him I associate no partner."
قُلْ اِنَّمَٓا اَدْعُوا رَبّ۪ي وَلَٓا اُشْرِكُ بِه۪ٓ اَحَداً
