Yaseen - 36:16
"They said, "Our Lord knows that we have been sent to you."
In the context of verses 13, 14...29; the city that accused its messengers of bad luck and was destroyed by an explosion: "Thamud"
The Ants/27:45
"We sent to Thamud their brother Salih to say to them, "Serve Allah."Thereupon they divided into two groups disputing."
وَلَقَدْ اَرْسَلْـنَٓا اِلٰى ثَمُودَ اَخَـاهُمْ صَـالِحاً اَنِ اعْبُـدُوا اللّٰهَ فَاِذَا هُمْ فَر۪يقَانِ يَخْتَصِمُونَ
The Ants/27:46
"My people,"he said, "why do you hasten to do evil instead of good? Should you not ask forgiveness from Allah that you may be shown mercy?"
قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ لِمَ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ قَبْلَ الْحَسَنَةِۚ لَوْلَا تَسْتَغْفِرُونَ اللّٰهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
The Ants/27:47
"They said, "You and those with you have jinxed us."He said, "Your bad luck is from Allah. Surely you are a people who are put to a test."
قَالُوا اطَّيَّرْنَا بِكَ وَبِمَنْ مَعَكَۜ قَالَ طَٓائِرُكُمْ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ بَلْ اَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ تُفْتَنُونَ
The Moon/54:24
"They said, "Shall we follow a man from among us? Then we shall go astray and enter Hell."
فَقَالُٓوا اَبَشَراً مِنَّا وَاحِداً نَتَّبِعُهُٓۙ اِنَّٓا اِذاً لَف۪ي ضَلَالٍ وَسُعُرٍ
The Moon/54:25
Has the Message been given to him from among us? He is an arrogant liar.
ءَاُلْقِيَ الذِّكْرُ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ بَيْنِنَا بَلْ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ اَشِرٌ
The Moon/54:26
Tomorrow they will know who the arrogant liar is.
سَيَعْلَمُونَ غَداً مَنِ الْـكَذَّابُ الْاَشِرُ
The Moon/54:27
We will send the camel as a test. Watch over them, be patient.
اِنَّا مُرْسِلُوا النَّاقَةِ فِتْنَةً لَهُمْ فَارْتَقِبْهُمْ وَاصْطَبِرْۘ
The Moon/54:28
Inform them that the water (with the camel) will be shared between them. Each drink will be offered in turn.
وَنَبِّئْهُمْ اَنَّ الْمَٓاءَ قِسْمَةٌ بَيْنَهُمْۚ كُلُّ شِرْبٍ مُحْتَضَرٌ
The Moon/54:29
They called a friend of theirs, and he drew and slaughtered (the camel).
فَنَادَوْا صَاحِبَهُمْ فَتَعَاطٰى فَعَقَرَ
The Moon/54:31
We sent upon them a single blast, and they turned into a heap of straw gathered by a sheepherder.
اِنَّٓا اَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً فَـكَانُوا كَـهَش۪يمِ الْمُحْتَظِرِ
